Happy New Year!

I hope everyone welcomed in the new year in an enjoyable manner! I certainly did; I was asleep :) I was planning on going out, got all frocked up, went into town, but just didn't feel in the mood for it all so came home again and had a really great night's sleep. Sounds pretty boring I know, but when you're not in the mood to be surrounded by hundreds of really drunk people you don't know there's no point forcing the issue. And it was a wise decision in the end because I haven't had a good sleep in ages. They say that your year starts as it will continue which means I will be comatose for most of 2008 I guess. That's OK with me!

I spent the last day of 2007 at the pool with MM who gave me a very thoughtful present; 30 free passes to the pool! That means I can now go swimming whenever I want, even when I'm poor :) And apparently I get to pick out some new bathers too. Heheeee. We spent a lot of time in the baby pool which is heaps more fun than the other pools because you can get your legs wet, but keep your top dry so you never get too cold or too hot. I think I am the only person in Adelaide who found a way to be cold on a 42 degree day.

Oh yes. New Year resolutions...

  1. Get my bicycle serviced (I know this is more like a to-do list item, but if I don't put it on here it may never get done)

  2. Complete another uni assignment more than 2 hours before the due date

  3. Stop making plans for the future that include people over whom I have no control (everyone, in other words)

  4. Be nicer (quite broad I know, but this area needs a lot of work apparently)

  5. Volunteer work

By no means an exhaustive list of things about myself that need looking at - but, hopefully, I have quite a few years left to cover the rest. No point doing all the work in the first few years of my life - what would I have to do in my old age?
