The Piano

I read the book The Piano yesterday and I was a bit suprised by its lightheartedness. I have never seen the film, but obviously have heard of it, and seen bits and pieces when it won some award or other and it always struck me as a dark and gloomy piece. But the book's quite amusing really. Might have to borrow the film and watch the whole thing, maybe they only showed the nasty bits in the previews.
