OK, so I have a job, I have a few shifts under my belt, if not cash to prove it. It's all a bit interesting at Charlie's. For a starters I have to go on a 2 month probabtion period during which they are going to pay me cash under the table and I get paid a pittance. Hoorah! God knows why I have to be on probabation, I guess nobody trusts anybody to do the job they say they will any more. The place gets quite frantic at times and it's all a bit overwhelming suddenly having to use my brain again for such things as the prices for coffees and sandwiches. Today I just made up a few prices - can't expect me to memorise the whole board in one day! They really should update and get a register with all the food on it so I don't have to know the prices of everything in the shop off by heart - I might need those memory cells for something important and more pertinent to my life later on! Found $2 on the floor today while sweeping up though, can't go wrong. It's nice to be busy again though. The days go faster and I am sleepy at sleepy time.
Other exciting news; I will be house/cat/turtle sitting for a mate from the end of the week so will be residing in the Oh-so-close to the city Unley for a month. I'm rapt about it and planning to move out into a place a similar distance from the city afterwards. Yeah, forward movement!!
