This evening is the first game of the winter season. Monday night is women's, Thursday mixed and Wednesday training. Scratchie on Sundays. Although yesterday I didn't go cos it was raining a lot, although not consistantly. Driving into town it would rain hard for a few k and then dry up and sunshine for a while before bucketing down again. I appreciate that we need rain, but can't it just rain over the dams? How am I supposed to run in my new bicycle when it's constantly wet? And no, riding in the rain is not an option for me, fairweather rider that I am. Definitely need to get at least a mudguard fitted before I'll try that cos having a back full of wet road grit is not fun. With the prospect of an income I have started making lists of things I Need and Want to purchase. Top of the Need List; Socks and undies - it just seems such a waste of money for those items so I never end up buying new ones but now my sock drawer has reached a critical condition. Top of the Want List; a warm jacket and some little boots - I know I did find boots in Japan, but they are really just comfy and really not gonna give me many points in the Well Dressed department come Saturday night.
Speaking of well dressed - a friend and I were at East Terrace Continental for brekkie on Sunday morning and were surrounded by young girls who must have been up at the crack of dawn creating their outfits. Is it reasonable to expect that everyone just agree to not make an effort before midday on a Sunday? No one's hair should be that high that early. But I must say, although they were flat out and we had to wait a very long time for our food with very empty tummies, ETC makes a damn good brekkie! I love poached eggs and since every time I try to make them I end up with white fluff floating on water and a little yellow nugget at the bottom of the pan, I take advantage of any opportunity to get em made by someone who can. Oh boy is bacon tempting at times like that though!

Poached egg cooking instructions.
1: Place some water over heat.
2: Add some vinegar to the water.
3: When water is just below boiling point, stir water vigoriously to create a whirl pool in the centre.
4: drop in egg into centre of whirl pool.
5: egg will sty together and you can cook for as long as you want to create your perfect egg.
HeHe, I wait until it is actually impossible to wear them anymore before I buy new socks!
